The Wooster Country Club. An outstanding place to work, learn and develop key skills within the golf industry. Located at the very heart of Wooster, OH. The original nine was designed by the clubs founding members and now plays at a very healthy 6600 yards.
Kelly Kranstuber is the head golf professional at Wooster Country Club and a full time member of the PGA of America. Kelly graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a degree in Business Marketing with a specialisation in PGA golf management. Kelly's enthusiasm for the game of golf and the country club itself serves as a great mentor for the sports mentorship programme.
Organisational Structure and Mission Statement
The Wooster Country club works with a well established internal organisational structure, which positively promotes the club and its business amenities. Our general manager Rob Romanatto oversees all operations and does an outstanding job across each and every area, particularly in member and guest services. Rob works closely with Kelly and Michelle Kane, the services manager, to ensure they can both provide the ultimate member experiences for everyone at the club. Rebecca Eagle is our man resources manager who does an excellent job in the organisation of both the clubs staff and the members. The club then dives down into the seasonal staff positions such as myself with the exception of Father Gabriel, who is a full time staff member for the last 19 years. He is a true asset to the club having many job roles, ranging form pro shop assistant through to computer specialist. The seasonal workers are all extremely important to the country club and many are often returners, which allows the members to get to know them a little better and give an overall better experience. The club flourishes with over 250 members whom enjoy everything from golf, tennis, swimming and incredible dining services. Tim Hull, the executive chef provides members and their guests with finely cooked food, from a full quarterly changing menu, a real selling point for anyone looking to become a member.
